BE Engineering Syllabus (OU Affiliated Colleges)
BE Engineering at OU-affiliated colleges follows JNTUH (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad) regulations for most colleges, since most OU-affiliated engineering colleges in Telangana are actually under JNTUH affiliation. However, some colleges under OU (including UCE-OU) follow OU's own prescribed syllabus.
Common First Year (I–II Semester, all branches): - Engineering Mathematics I & II - Engineering Physics / Chemistry (alternating semesters) - English for Communication - Engineering Drawing - Basics of Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Programming in C - Environmental Science
Computer Science Engineering (II–III Year, SE–TE): - Data Structures, Algorithms, Database Systems - Computer Organisation and Architecture - Operating Systems, Computer Networks - Discrete Mathematics, Theory of Computation - Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Programming (Java/C++)
Final Year (BE): - Elective subjects (AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, IoT) - Major Project (semester-long, submitted with viva) - Industrial Training
Note: Students at OU-affiliated colleges should confirm whether their college is affiliated to OU or JNTUH — many colleges in Hyderabad carry both affiliations for different programmes.
