Course Objective

To perform experiments to determine water and wastewater quality, and to understand the quality of water, wastewater and industrial water.

Module-wise Syllabus

Module 1

Determination of pH and turbidity, conductivity and total dissolved solids, alkalinity and acidity, chlorides, total/organic/inorganic solids, iron, dissolved oxygen, nitrogen, total phosphorous, B.O.D, C.O.D, optimum coagulant dose, chlorine demand, sulphate, hardness, and presumptive coliform test. Any 12 experiments mandatory.

  • CO3Compare the water quality standards with prescribed standards set by local governments.
