Do you cover complementary Maths for BA and BCom at MG University?

Yes. We cover complementary Mathematics for BA and BCom programmes at MG University — Calculus, Matrices, Differential Equations and Statistics for Semesters 1 to 4.

Do you cover BSc Maths core at MG University?

Yes. We cover all 6 semesters of BSc Mathematics at MG University — from Foundations of Maths and Algebra in S1/S2 through to Complex Analysis, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis II in S5/S6.

How is MG University Maths different from school Maths?

MG University undergraduate Maths (especially for BSc core students) moves into proof-based mathematics — Abstract Algebra, Real Analysis and Topology require writing mathematical proofs rather than solving numerical problems. This shift is challenging for many students and is where 1-on-1 guidance is most valuable.

What is the difference between MG University and Calicut University Maths?

Both follow the Kerala CBCSS system and have similar programme structures. The syllabuses overlap significantly, with minor differences in topic ordering and specific content between universities. Our tutors are familiar with both and adapt to your specific university's paper style.

Is there a free trial class?

Yes. Every new student gets one free demo session with an MG University Maths tutor before committing to paid sessions.

What Makes This Subject Challenging

Without personalised attention, students often struggle to identify which areas need the most work and how to approach problems efficiently. Generic coaching or self-study without feedback can lead to gaps in understanding that only surface during exams. Key areas covered include: Differential Calculus — limits, derivatives, applications, curve tracing, Integral Calculus — integration techniques, definite integrals, area, Matrices — operations, rank, linear systems, eigenvalues, Differential Equations — first order, linear equations with constant coefficients, Probability and Statistics — distributions, correlation, regression.
