About BCA Degree

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) is a 3-year undergraduate degree focusing on computer science fundamentals, programming, databases, networking and software development. It is offered by thousands of colleges across India and is a popular alternative to B.Tech CS for students from Commerce or non-Engineering backgrounds.

BCA is equivalent to BSc Computer Science in terms of employment eligibility at most companies. The main advantage over B.Tech is the 3-year duration (lower cost and time commitment) and admission through Class 12 without engineering entrance exams like JEE.
